Owner Ian Gattuso with his children, Levi and Maggie Jane.
Ian Gattuso is the owner of Total Basement Finishing of South Jersey, LLC. Below-ground spaces are his business. Ian has spent more than 14 years helping homeowners repair their damaged foundations, prevent and eliminate mold and musty odors, and dry out their flooded basements. He learned every aspect of this business while working alongside his dad, brothers, and sister at Dry Guys, LLC, a basement waterproofing and foundation repair company that has served South Jersey since the late 80's. At Dry Guys, Ian started at the very bottom as an installer, and graduated to foreman, then salesman, lead salesman, and finally head of business development.
Ian has always had an independent, entrepreneurial spirit, which is why in 2016, he created Total Basement Finishing of South Jersey. He loves helping people get the most out of their homes, and believes there's no better way to do that than to refinish an underground living area. He often asks people, "why waste money by building an addition onto your home, when you have a space with unlimited potential sitting right underneath you?"
He gets excited when he can help someone transform their dank, smelly basement into a warm and welcoming play area for their kids, a home theater for their friends and family, or an art studio for their creative pursuits. EverLast Solutions can also refinish garages and sheds with the same mold and water-resistant materials!
Ian feels that basements are the most misunderstood rooms in the American home. He's seen contractors with years of training and experience make enormous mistakes with basement finishing, and it breaks his heart to see homeowners waste money on repairing a job that could have been done properly the first time. That's why he invested in the unique line of water and mold resistant products available with Total Basement Finishing.
These products are the best on the market, and they're backed by an incredible warranty. If one of the EverLast panels from Total Basement Finishing fails 50 years from now, Total Basement Finishing will replace it. Our prices are competitive, and all the materials we use are ecologically conscious, so you can finish your basement, garage, or shed once, and know that it is done right, and will last. That's the kind of product Ian wants in his home, and it's why he feels great about bringing it into the homes of his clients.
When Ian isn't wading into flooded basements or crawlspace, he's usually wrestling with his son Levi, dancing with his daughter Maggie Jane, or relaxing with his lovely wife Jill. Ian also comes along side teenagers as a youth ministry volunteer and leader (7-12 grade) and has been doing so for over 15 years. Since he spends much of his work-week on the road, he is an avid consumer of podcasts and audio books that range on topics from philosophy and theology to economics, leadership, and history.
